The Day

Matthew 1:22-23

Now all this was done that it might be fulfilled.

Spoken of the Lord by the prophet,

saying Behold,

A virgin shall be with child,

Bring forth a son.

They shall call his name

When  interpreted is, God with us.

|The birth of Christ had been prophesied in the book of Isaiah.

This was long before the Angel came to Mary & Joseph.

This is one of the many examples in

the Bible that

confirms God's faithfulness when it comes to fulfilling

the Promises He makes.

The greatest promise of His Son, Jesus Christ, was fulfilled.

We have all the evidence of this.

How can we doubt

God after being exposed to such great faithfulness?

Dear God,

I am grateful for Your Word, the Bible.

Filled with so many examples of Your faithfulness.

The greatest example being in the fulfilled promise of the birth,

life, death, and resurrection of

Your son,

Jesus Christ.

I am comforted in knowing that You, my Father, are faithful

in all You say, and perfect in all Your ways.

In Jesus' name, I pray.

Proverbs 31:8

Open thy mouth for the dumb in the cause of all such

as are appointed to destruction.

We should strive to be voices for those who are unable to

speak for themselves.

The world is filled with people who are oppressed on a daily basis.

As Christians, the love in our hearts should compel us to be there for those who are in need of help.

Use your voice for good, always.

What does it mean when someone is oppressed?

The exercise of authority or power in a burdensome, cruel,

or unjust manner.

an act or instance

oppressing or subjecting

to cruel or unjust impositions or restraints. The state of being oppressed.

The feeling of being heavily burdened,

mentally or physically, by troubles,

adverse conditions,

anxiety, etc.

Dear God,

I pray that I use my voice to speak for those who face oppression in this world.

There are so many people suffering.

I ask that I use all that I can to help as many people as possible.

The love you have placed in my heart compels me to do so.

In Jesus' name, I pray.

Romans 14:13

Let us not therefore  judge one another any more:

but judge this rather, that no man put a stubling block or an occasion

to fall in his brother's way.

And or sister: Man/Woman

Boy& Girl

Part of this Christian life is refusing to judge others.

and condemining  people who happen to be struggling with sin

or iniquity will not profit us in any way. If anything, we are countering

the grace that was given to us so freely.

As we were given, we are instructed to give.

Be gracious to all people in your life.  If you have to correct it,

let it be done in love,

Not hate

judgment or condemnation.

The goal shall be to point people to Christ, not away from him.

Dear God,

I ask that you will help me to refrain from oppression through judgment

NOT condemnation.

Lord, I pray that my words and actions will never serve as a

stumbling block in another persons life.

May my decisions be influenced

Your wisdom and Your Love,

In Jesus"name,

I pray,

Proverbs 10:29

The way of the LORD is strength to the upright, but destruction shall

be to the workers of iniquity.

Learn to pronounce

immoral or grossly unfair behavior.

"a den of iniquity"

God's ways always lead to life and goodness. It is always profitable

to follow the leadings of the Holy Spirit.

But if we choose to go the

other way, and follow the way of the wicked, we will find

ourselves in much turmoil.

Where God is not involved, there can never be any good that comes out of it.

Dear God,

In this world it can become very

tempting to

follow the ways that are not contrary to yours.

But Lord, I choose to remain

in your path.

May you keep me focused, in times I may be tempted to sway.

In Jesus' name,

I pray.

Psalms 23:5

Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies;

thou anointest my head with oil;

my cup runneth over.

As Christians, we don't need to worry about the people

who oppose us.

Even with our enemies, we should ensure that we are enemies to none

the love in our hearts.

God has got us so covered that He will prosper us in the

presence of our enemies.

We don't need to pray for fire to consume them...As they are people too.

All we need to do is pray for them and hope that they will

come and embrace God's love too.

Dear God

I'd like to take this time out to pray for anyone who sees themselves

as my enemies.

I do not desire that they perish but rather they come into

the knowledge of

I pray that they get to experience Your love and Your goodness,

In Jesus' name, I pray.

Psalms 12:8

The LORD shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from

this time forth, and even for evermore.

God has assured us time and time again that He will be with us.

God's protection for us is so deep that, even when we

die on this earth, we are not lost to the power of death.

Our life continues in heaven until

Christ returns to give us our mortal bodies.

God is Always Faithful.

Dear God

I thank you that I am fully covered by you.

I have nothing to fear-not even death because I know that it will

have the final say.

In Jesus' name. I pray.

1 Corinthians 15:24

Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the

kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down

all rule and all authority and power.

For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet.

The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death.

A day is coming where Christ will return and quash the

enemy and all who chose to follow him.

Satan will finally receive what is

due him

and the kingdom will be given to God,

the Father.

A new time will arrive in which there will be no sin

no sorrow, no pain

and no death.

Dear God,

I thank you that the thought of Christ returning is a cause to celebrate

and not to fear.

Father I am so grateful that on that day,

I will be part

those who are on your side.

I pray that more and more people will surrender their lives to you,

in this time Lord, so that they can celebrate

the coming of Christ too.

In Jesus' name, I pray.
